"Fantastic Staff"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Radiology

(as a parent/guardian),

My 11 year old son had a difficult few weeks with ongoing investigations including multiple blood tests / USS/ X-ray to rule out malignancy after developing severe lymphadenopathy. The wonderful staff especially Linney and Miller treated us both (particularly me trying to hold myself together) with care compassion and empathy . Linney kept me calm and Miller treated my son with respect and dignity during his scan, whilst explaining everything she was doing in a clear and child -friendly manner. He  had been very nervous prior to his scan and was very happy with his care, as was I.

The staff involved made a very worrying time much easier for both of us. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart.,

Dear Jmum,

Thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience within x-ray and ultrasound during this worrying time for you. I'm sorry to hear that your son has been unwell and I hope his health is improving.

It is always lovely to hear such positive feedback and I will be sure to pass this onto the staff involved in your sons care. Care & compassion is at the forefront of NHS Lanarkshire values and it is reassuring to know that this is being well practiced during these difficult times.

With best wishes,

Sara
