I had my little girl in 2019 and had quite a lot of issues at the start with breastfeeding - thrush and then dairy intolerance. I left an emotional voicemail one evening and had a phone call and visit the very next day to help and reassure me from a very friendly and supportive health visitor. Then when we had our dairy intolerance phase again I had a lot of support on how to go about this as well as emotional support when it all got a bit too much for me. Lots of phone calls and checking in and I am so grateful - great team.
Obviously covid and lockdown have affected the service - and I totally understand. We have missed our one and two year reviews and while I have no concerns and understand caseloads are high, I would’ve preferred a check in phone call rather than a letter. However this is a minor issue and feel that the team have been very supportive of me and my little one. Thank you.
