"Admission to ward 21"

Whilst working I was over come with severe chest pain...within 2 hours from first bit of pain I was admitted in to ward 21. The care I received was excellent! With being an NHS staff member myself we’re not the best patients ..but within short period of time in the ward I received X-ray, blood tests, ultrasound of heart then abdomen, I could not fault any staff member from auxiliaries to nurses, domestics to consultants (medical and surgical) within 24 hours of admission, there was a plan set out for myself. all be it ruled out as cardiac but under surgical. Even once cardiac issues were ruled out all staff worked along side surgical to ensure there was a plan. so as I sit and wait for a gallbladder removal I’m forever greatful for the staff in 21 for taking such good care of me and helping me stay calm in quite a worrying and scary situation (especially with being alone)
