"Chronic pain service"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Pain Management Clinic

(as a service user),

Hi, I have requested a meeting with management many weeks ago regarding delays within the Chronic Pain Service. To-date there is still no meeting scheduled.   How often do patients have to raise complaints to get action? Delays have been happening on/off since 2014 so this is nothing new. Maybe management could make the effort to meet with patients who are becoming more desperate. Delays between treatments cause misery and suffering. Although staff respond to complaints it’s usually with the same reply I have received many times over. It would be helpful if management could genuinely look into complaints and try to make improvements.

Dear golfss47

Thank you for sharing your feedback on Care Opinion in relation to the Chronic Pain Service. I am sorry that you have been waiting some time for a meeting to discuss your dissatisfaction around delays. In order to expedite your request for a meeting with management, it would be helpful if you could contact the Patient Affairs Department at University Hospital Wishaw by emailing PatientAffairs.Wishaw@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk quoting Care Opinion reference 838778.

Many thanks.

Lesley
