"Childrens ENT"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Ear, Nose & Throat / Audiology Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

Had a fabulous visit to ENT with my 13 year old who had been losing his hearing and suffering with ear infections for the last year. As you can imagine it was a worrying time for him but everyone was very friendly, very helpful and really kind, reassuring him each step of the way. He had his ears cleaned with a wee vacuum and then a water syringe by Dr Veitch he went to get another hearing test done by Dr MacAuley in his special sound proof room which my boy was very impressed with and came out with great hearing and such a happiness, I cannot thank you all enough.

We were seen very quickly, especially in these times of lockdowns and essential appts only, the relief he's experienced and knowing he isn't in pain or living with tinnitus really is great. Thank you & your teams all so, so much. From all of us

Dear Mum85

Thank you so much for leaving this feedback. I am really glad to hear your son had such a positive experience with the team when he had his ears cleaned and hearing checked. As you say, it can be really daunting coming to hospital at any time, but especially just now, and I am really glad he feels better and I am sure he is relieved it's over.

It makes such a difference to the team to get positive feedback and I will highlight this to Mr Veitch and Dr MacAuley who will be delighted I am sure. Thank you again.

Kind regards

Caroline
