My son was admitted to Doctor Grays late on a Monday in March but could have been noted the Tuesday it says he was transferred to ARI Neurosurgery department due to a subarachnoid haemorrhage on the Tuesday. He was not transferred to ARI in Aberdeen until late on the Thursday as I phoned on the morning of the Thursday for a update, the nurse I spoke to said he was going for another scan as they did not do his head and neck - though he was complaining of bad headaches and neck pain, as he phoned us to say.
The letter also says he got a extra ventricular drain put in on the Friday it was very late into the Thursday as I phoned Aberdeen to see if he was there as we were not informed about the transfer and the nurse said he had just arrived and that was 830pm he had surgery that evening if he was transferred On the Tuesday his prognosis could have been better.
But I will say he was transferred to ward 7 medical that was not good as my granddaughter has informed you then transferred to the stroke ward where his care was excellent and the correspondence with us
Your sincerely
