My really poorly daughter had to visit this unit for a procedure. My poor daughter was so scared and dreading the whole process because of Covid and being so poorly.
The unit is excellent, they are super hygienic and asked everyone visiting the unit to use the sanitiser and have their temperature taken.
Nurses wear the correct PPE clothing and constantly sanitise their hands. It is a very well organised unit and I felt very happy leaving my daughter there.
My daughter was looked after by a super lady called Lisa, Deputy Sister at the Louth endoscope unit.
I would give this lady 5+++ stars for care, support, and professionalism, she was superb. It was like handing my daughter over to her "New Mum". She took care of my daughter throughout the whole procedure and when I came to collect my daughter she was actually smiling!
My daughter told me that the Consultant was also excellent, very gentle, and he explained and chatted to her throughout the procedure, telling her what was happening and what he was doing. If you visit this unit you will find a very caring team who put their patients first, they are all so kind and very helpful.
We have visited a lot of other medical units within Lincolnshire during Covid, but this is the best hospital and medical unit we have visited.
My heartfelt thanks go to Lisa, I have written to the CEO to ask that he thanks her because she is the epitome of what a nurse should be!
We count ourselves very lucky to have such great care from the Louth County Hospital, it is definitely a top hospital.
"Excellent unit"
