"Blood clot investigation"

I was referred to Ambulatory Care by my GP for a suspected blood clot due to being pregnant and short of breath.  I was taken to a room and seen to quickly.  A HCSW took my blood, obs, and ECG, I'm terrible with names, but she is about to qualify to become a nurse and we had a good wee blether. The Dr (a female reg) explained that I would also be sent for an x-ray.  I asked for a sandwich as I am pregnant and it was brought to me very quickly.  All of the staff were very friendly.  I was then left for a few hours before the porter came to take me to x-ray.  The staff were friendly and it was quick and easy. 

Not long after the x-ray another Dr (male, said he worked in the antenatal diabetes clinic monthly) came to run through my results.  He explained that everything was looking very well, but due to pregnancy, my blood test was inconclusive.  As I am a radiographer he asked me my thoughts on getting a CT scan, we both agreed that in the absence of other symptoms this was unlikely to be necessary and that if I have any other symptoms I will contact the hospital immediately.  He truly involved me in decisions of my own care, while we decided against the CT he told me that I was welcome to get it if it would reassure me, as is the case for other similar patients.

I was discharged and given a sandwich to get me home.  I was very well looked after and not made to feel a nuisance.

All that said, I must admit that the floor of the room I was in was filthy.  I know that several patients would use that room per day (the bed and chair etc were all clean) however, this appeared to be about a week's worth of dust and dirt collected in the room.  As I was query covid (awaiting results from a community test) I expected a higher level of cleanliness, particularly if it was a query/confirmed covid patient before me.  (sorry to end on a negative note).
