"Very good care at North Tyneside General"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

(as the patient),

I was an in-patient at North Tyneside General hospital from April 2007 to November 2007. Apart from short periods in the Intensive Care Unit, I was in ward 6.

The media is often very critical of the treatment patients receive in NHS hospitals but in my experience the treatment was very good. Mr B.J. Slater, my surgeon, was very supportive and the Ward Manager Angela Tait and her staff were tremendous. My gratitude is also extended to the staff in the Surgical and Intensive Care Units.
