"Care after finding a lump in my breast"

I called my GP when I found a breast lump.   I had put off getting in touch as was reluctant to bother anyone in a busy time. It was small.   My GP Dr Adams (lisburn HC), rang back the same day and arranged to see me. She organised a red flag referral to the breast clinic at my local hospital, (craigavon) I am so grateful for her prompt care and attention.

The hospital staff were incredible-from the secretarial staff who rang with appointment details to the Drs, radiographers and clinic team, including the pathology team who examined my biospy very quickly.   I do not know the names of the radiography team that performed the mammogram or ultrasound or the consultant Radiologist who performed the biopsy. Ms Scally and Ms Mathers were the Breast consultants who looked after me. The whole team were professional, efficient, caring and deserve so much praise and admiration for continuing to provide such a valuable and important service under immense pressure during the pandemic.
