"My care plan"

About: Highbury Hospital / Redwood Ward 2 (Female)

(as a service user),

For as long as I have been a patient here my care has been very inconsistent and I feel the way I have been cared for has always been more ward centred rather than patient centred. I feel this is extremely unfair as many of the things I have requested to improve my care and make things better for me has been hampered by a lack of staff training, other patients on the ward and the general environment I am in. All of these things are about the ward and not about me but I am the one that has to suffer. It has made me feel like I am not receiving the care I should be and at times had a negative impact on my mental health.

Thank you for talking the time to post about your experience on Redwood 2. I am sorry that you feel that your care has been inconsistent and that your care plan is not person centred. As a directorate we are working on improvements to the care planning process, to help this I would be really interested in getting more information from you so that the ward can work with you to improve your care plan as well moving things forward and creating a better experience for future patients.
