"Getting my son correct and further treatment"

About: Northampton General Hospital (Acute) / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My son was discharged 3 days ago and has presented with the same ongoing issues again today. 3rd time in 3 weeks and normally a monthly occurance. Had to wait in a wheel chair whilst being sick and in pain for at least 2 hours in the reception area. Even when presented with his discharge letter they still made him wait.

Again in majors, waited for 2 hours for a curt unsympathetic nurse to take bloods. They refused to read through his 'huge pile of notes', to see what was wrong and offered inappropriate medication, which if his notes had been looked at would be obvious. 4 hours in and still no pain relief or antisickness. I appreciate everyone's busy but! The trolley brought into the room had blood on it. Previous medical items on the floor of the room. Very little interaction or information given.

My son did get seen by a consultant about 5 hours after sign in and was prescribed antisickness. It was at least another hour before pain relief was prescribed. I'm not looking to get anyone in trouble just frustrated at NGH's inability to get my son the correct and further treatment.
