"How bad the service has been"

About: Back on Track (Hammersmith and Fulham IAPT)

(as the patient),

Got referred by my gp after a long wait I was phoned up by a receptionist who told me that the wait is 4-6 moths which isn’t helpful at all as I told her I wasn’t sleeping and only been having half an hour sleep a night and keep on having Panic attacks. The service was inhumane and would say I havent gotten any help here

Dear Jim 123456788

I am really sorry to hear about your experience at Back on Track and that the waiting time of 4-6months is too long. We do understand that access to treatment in a timely way is incredibly important. I’m sorry to hear you have not got the help you would hope for.

I would advise you to contact the service on 0300 123 1156 and request to speak to a manager so we can get your details and check what it is you were waiting for. The timeframes that are provided are very approximate and it is possible that the wait will be shorter than this. We might even be able to discuss with you some options of support in the meantime.

If you would like to speak to someone outside of the service then you can also contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0800 064 3330. Or you can make a formal complaint by contacting complaints@westlondon.nhs.uk or 020 8354 8174. There is more information about how to make a complaint and how we will respond to complaints on this webpage Contact us (westlondon.nhs.uk)

Best wishes
