"Really upsetting attitude"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire

(as a service user),

My Husband called this morning to speak to a Dr about his declining mental health. In the last year my has battled covid in hospital in april 2020 and later sepsis and ecoli .

This morning he came off feeling worse than when he began the call, my husband wants to work but at the moment crippling anxiety is preventing him leaving the house . The attitude from the doctor on the call this morning was really upsetting to him

Dear Ge2021

Thank you for your feedback on Care Opinion. I was very sorry to read of the upset caused to your husband by his doctor's lack of compassion during his telephone consultation.

Please be advised that GP’s are independent contractors and are responsible for investigating and responding to any concerns a person may have about their service; they are not registered to respond directly to feedback through Care Opinion. I would therefore invite you to contact the Practice Manager if you would like a direct response about the service you experienced.

I sincerely hope that your husband's health improves soon. Please pass on my best wishes to him.

Kind regards.

Lesley
