About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Endoscopy

(as a service user),

During being a patient in the hospital which I already put a report in about how I could not fault any member of staff or department or ward I was in I would like now to praise the Endoscopy team.

I had an Endoscopy done as an in patient I was very afraid of having this done but from arriving at the theatre I was cared for by the nursing staff and well looked after. The doctor explained everything to me and after numbing my throat with the spray gave me a sedative. Six biopsies were taken and I can honestly say I do no remember anything of the test at all I would never be afraid if I needed this test done again .I have not had the results yet was told I would be written to with them I know it takes a while for the results it will be four weeks coming since test was done can anyone tell me roughly how long it takes.

HI, thanks for taking time to give us feedback, you should call your GP to see if they have received the report from your test & if not you can call us on 0141 314 6015 and we can make enquiries, as you said yourself it does take a while from date of procedure for laboratory report to be signed off.
