"End of life care, Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy"

About: Victoria Hospital / Palliative Care and Hospice

(as a carer),

My mother was admitted to the Victoria Hospital in March and quickly diagnosed with an inoperable tumour. She was transferred to Ward 44 and remained there until her death. I would like to thank the staff of all levels who work on that ward for everything they did to keep my Mum comfortable during her last weeks. They were kind, compassionate, considerate and friendly. Always professional, despite often being short staffed and always very busy. Not only did they   look after my Mum but they also treated me with such kindness throughout the long hours that I spent on the ward sitting by her bedside. I am very grateful to the wonderful staff on Ward 44.

Dear Tayberry,

Thank you for your kind words which I will be sure to pass on to the Team on ward 44. I am glad we were able to provide the support your mother needed and that you also felt supported by the ward staff at what must have been a difficult time. Please accept our deepest condolences for your loss.

Thank you also for taking the time to let us know, this is much appreciated.
