"Excellent service from dermatology clinic and my GP practice"

About: Anderson House / Dermatology Eglinton Medical Practice

(as a service user),

I contacted my GP surgery regarding a couple of facial marks which had changed recently. Photos were e-mailed to GP initially for review.

GP appointment attended that same day and referral made by GP to dermatology clinic. Seen by Dr Podmore within less than 2 weeks and treatment started the day after appointment.

Excellent service received throughout from appointment with Dr Devine at GP surgery to appointment with Dr Podmore at dermatology clinic. All staff that I met with at every point of the journey were pleasant, helpful, kind and professional. This includes reception staff in Eglinton Health Centre and support staff at Dermatology clinic.

Excellent service all round delivered in an efficient and timely manner. Thanks to all.

I am writing further to the feedback you recently submitted via Care Opinion. As current acting manager of Anderson House Dermatology Department, I would like to extend my gratitude to you on behalf of our team for taking the time to share your experience with us. I have emailed a copy of this feedback to all staff members including Dr Podmore and also placed a copy in the staff room for those who do not have access to email.

Here at the Western trust we are devoted to achieving the highest standards of patient care, whilst also ensuring that the service we deliver as a team is professional, safe and efficient. To this end, I was delighted to learn that your entire patient experience from the initial GP appointment, to being accommodated at our clinic within 2 weeks was so prompt and efficient, and all staff you encountered throughout your journey were pleasant, kind, helpful and professional. I am sure that the skills, knowledge and professionalism of all our team helped alleviate your concerns.

All feedback we receive at the Dermatology Department helps us achieve the trusts strategic priorities in improving the quality and care that we give to our patients, and in supporting and empowering our staff members. I am therefore very grateful for your views, especially during the current circumstances and I am delighted that we have delivered such a positive patient experience.
