"My GP"

(as a service user),

I work full time and it's hard to get appointments to suit me, my Gp gave me a phone appointment and then arranged for me to be seen face to face the next day and as one of their 1st clients of the day to ensure I did not need to miss any time at work. 

She understood that it's hard for some employers to offer short notice leave to attend appointments and went out of her way to call me back 2 times as I missed their calls due to my work and then they fit me in at a time that suited around work.

I am so grateful for the effort and personalization of my appointment and the quality of care given to me by my GP. Also, the surgery staff is helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble.

I feel lucky as I hear stories from others waiting weeks for appointments and being told they have little flexibility by their GPs.
