I was admitted as an emergency patient via A& E after experiencing abdominal pain.
From the staff in the Emergency Department to the staff in ward 20- everyone was so nice and helpful. Miss Gray was also very good at keeping me updated on my plan. I wasn’t able to have my operation done due to the surgical team being busy with emergencies- but did have it done 2 days after being discharged.
I would also like to give a massive thank you to the theatre staff. Being a healthcare professional is one thing, but it’s completely different being on the other side. They took the time to calm my nerves and give me a lot of reassurance whilst waiting to go in to theatre.
Proud to be part of the NHS.
