I had a broken collar bone and elected to have a fixation plate fitted. At every stage from urgent treatment centre in Crawley to my consultation at SASH I have received professional and reassuring advice and treatment at all times and at every stage. When going into surgery assessment my blood pressure was a little higher than normal due to last minute anxiety of the reality of the operation but I was reassured that this was normal and often referred to as ‘white coat syndrome’ from being in a hospital environment and would not affect the operation. Feeling much relieved I was given excellent advice and treatment from the Aneathetist Itsy Miura. The operation was over in a flash after that! Coming round in the recovery ward I was treated to further kindness and reassurance by the team, particularly Adela who got me an ice lolly for my sore throat! Even the orderly who took me to meet my lift was good company! All round I couldn’t fault a single part of the process. I’d like to thank them all!
