"I needed care and compassion"

About: Leverndale Hospital / Mental Health

(as the patient),

I felt I was treated very badly by my dr at Leverndale hospital. They continually denied me what I felt was the proper treatment and stuck to their bias views towards someone with my diagnosis. I felt they added to the stigma and would tell me I was allowed to commit suicide and they would discharge me after a day or two in hospital when it was clear I needed more intense support and I needed care and compassion not inappropriate remarks from someone who I felt has no heart and does not seem to care about patients unless they fit their view of what mental illness should look like.  I felt the care I had put me in danger.
