"Excellent care over many months"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / General Medicine Perth Royal Infirmary / Respiratory Medicine

(as a service user),

I had a liver issue which led to a build up of fluid in my lung and meant I had to get my lung drained twice a week. The staff at the Assessment ward, Ward 2 and the Respiratory team at PRI were amazing over Oct / Feb 2021. They welcomed me warmly, gave me the same side room, more times than not, and were so kind and caring and were a light in a truly miserable time. I wish I could remember all their names but I particularly want to mention Dr “Ali” and his team including Dr Williamson and his registrars. A huge thank you to the nursing team who took away my anxiety and were there for me in really tough times. You are all amazing people. Thank you!

Dear Katgm99,

I am so pleased to hear of your positive experience whilst being cared for by our nursing and medical teams in the Clinical Investigation Unit in Ward 2, PRI.

I appreciate that any lengthy attendance in hospital can be worrying, and I'm pleased to hear you have been well looked after throughout your time with us. You're message has been shared with Dr Williamson and the whole team within CIU.

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback and I wish you all the best in your ongoing recovery.
