following a significant issue that presented itself in my workplace, and involved external investigations at a legal level, I needed to get some support to help me overcome the stress and trauma of the 4 months during which the ordeal had gone on.
i approached my GP, who gave me time on the phone (in the evening), was v empathetic, and suggested a number of routes, including the back on track solution.
I was assessed for support, to determine was was the best approach and I was recommended a number of tools, the major one being talking therapy, CBT, and sldso webinars on. stress management and mindfulness.
I found the therapist Omur to be an excellent support - very empathetic, impressive in how she retained details of my specific issues, creative in her suggestions to help improve aspects of my problem, and I am sure that her guidance and probing with the right questions helped me to overcome the negative feelings I was having at the time. it was also very clear how passionate she is about the importance of people taking their mental health seriously, as they would do more physical problems, I would have no hesitation in recommending the back on track programme to other people who are struggling with mental health. I would also recommend the presentation on stress management - very well put together.
