I felt awful, my heartrate was 150 resting, my breathing was impacted, I had a headache and did not feel well.
Hi, I was recently admitted to ACU at Nottingham City Hospital with Atrial Flutter. I was not feeling well at all, I had been diagnosed about 10 days prior at QMC. Upon admittance to the ward I could tell immediately that something was different ! There was a calm on the ward.
My nurse Sarah quickly got me settled in and put my mind at ease with her calmness and knowledge, I could feel my stress level subsiding ! I have never had any heart ailments prior to this diagnosis so I was quite uptight ! I feel it is imperative to tell you that All your staff were dedicated, conscientious and highly skilled, what a great combination ! I felt I was in the absolute best place for my condition. I was the oldest person on my ward but the only one who was Not in for a heart attack or stroke, that gave me pause ! Your Consultants, Dr's, nurses, nursing assistants, student nurses, pharmacists, cleaners, food preparers and tea and coffee ladies and men were All Fantastic, always with a friendly demeanor and a smiling face which means a lot when you are Not well !
A special shout out to Dr.Joon who was determined to get my problem sorted and he did, on a Sunday as well ! Thank you Dr.Joon.
I know you are Magnate certified and it is obvious why !
After living many years in California I can tell you the level of care I received in ACU is as good as anywhere in the world, it was First Class ! You are all a credit to your professions and the embodiment of "being all you can be".
Sincerely and respectfully,
British citizen and ex California resident.
