(as a parent/guardian),

I attended the ED department at CAH with my 13 year old son with appendicitis.  I would like to commend all of the staff that we met in the ED Department, Theatre, Recovery and Blossom Ward for the excellent care and compassion he received.  Each person we came in contact with demonstrated kindness and were reassuring.  They put us both at ease and explained everything to my son in an age appropriate manner, with a little bit of football humor along the way which definitely helped.

Thank you for feedback about how your son was treated in Craigavon Hospital. We are so grateful to receive these types of comments as I know that our nurses, doctors and surgeons all try to provide the best care for unwell children. I am particular pleased that he and you were treated with kindness and compassion and hope that this removed some of the stress of what can be a frightening experience for children and their families. I wish you well and your son a speedy recovery.
