My wife tripped and fell in the road whilst returning home. She was given initial care by the Paramedic and taken to B.R.I. by ambulance. At the hospital she was quickly attended to in the accident and emergency department. It was found that she had a broken wrist as well as facial and head injuries.
So much care was taken with the broken wrist; it was X-rayed after being set and the doctor wasn’t satisfied. It was reset and X-rayed two more times until the doctor was satisfied.
Scans were made to check for any brain damage caused by the fall. These scans were also sent to Leeds so that the doctor in Bradford could consult with another doctor in Leeds. I was impressed by both the thoroughness and technology employed. It was decided that she should stay in the B.R.I. for observation and spent two nights there.
Not only was she given excellent medical care, she was given comfort and reassurance which is very important when frightened and in pain. Because of Covid restrictions I couldn't collect my wife from the ward but she was brought, by a nurse, to the carpark. I don't believe that my wife could have been better treated in any other hospital.
"Excellent Care"
