"Poor service."

About: Cumberland Centre

Had a plaster cast put on, to await fracture clinic appointment. The cast separated and held my fractured joint in the incorrect position. This is unfortunate, when contacting the centre to seek advice, the advice I was given when asking if there was any way of seeing someone at derriford was nonchalant and unhelpful. I was even told it wasn't that far and I could run it I 25 minutes. Bearing in mind I have a fractured bone. So if you do not want treatment that is incomplete and you could do without dangerous advice from non medically qualified receptionists, I urge you go somewhere else.

Karen Curson, Quality & Rota Manager for Orthopaedics, has responded to say:

I am sorry to hear that Stew has posted a comment on this website about poor service offered. This is very disappointing in that we cannot offer any advice or further information as to what may or may not have happened on this occasion without any patient information. If he wishes help in order that this does not happen again, we can investigate further which will

help the patient care in the long run.

Should you wish us to investigate your concerns in more detail, please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01752 439884. Alternatively, please email the team at: plh-tr.PALS@nhs.net

Thank you
