My daughter has recently been diagnosed with JIA. I have been delighted with the care she has received so far. From her first visit to the Orthopaedic department at Monklands where she was sent for an MRI, to the prompt follow up and referral to rheumatology at Wishaw (Dr Lee's), where she got her diagnosis.
Dr Lee was great, and explained her condition in a language we understood, she told me she would try and get her appointments for pain control as soon as possible and she wasn't kidding. Since then she had had her first steroid injection ( Glasgow Sick Children's Hospital) and an appointment for physio through, all in the space of 4 weeks. Her arthritis nurse (Catriona) has also been in touch to offer support. I have been really happy with all of the staff involved who have made this horrible diagnosis journey alot easier. Too many people are happy to share negatives opinions on the NHS, so I wanted to share our experience π thank you ππ
