My father was a patient on John Procter Ward for a period of three months, finally transferring to a nursing home just after the new year. Our family have had ample opportunity to witness the way in which patients are treated at Ling's Bar, as my father is bed bound and totally dependent on 24 hour nursing care.

Our experience is of a top class NHS facility, where the individual needs of the patient come first. The staff, at all levels, are kind, caring and highly professional. The high quality and consistency of the care provided not only played a vital role in stabilising my Dad's condition, but also allowed him to retain his dignity during difficult times. Nothing was too much trouble for these outstanding carers.

We have also appreciated the way in which we have been included in discussions about my father's care. We cannot thank you enough for your kindness and sensitivity, especially when emotions were high.

Well done, everyone at Ling's Bar! I know that your jobs can be tough and thankless at times, but you really do make a difference. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
