My elderly mum aged 91 was admitted to Medway hospital due to a fall at home.Mum has mixed Alzheimer’s/vascular dementia. From the many times I contacted Tennyson ward I spoke to two very helpful receptionists who were polite . But the reason for writing my review was to send praise to the occupational nurse and in-house social services lady who went above and beyond to organise the safe return of my mum who is due home today.
These ladies have the patience of a saint .It took numerous phone calls ,home visit to risk assess Mums environment, sorting out carers ,arranging appropriate equipment and all while listening to my concerns , it all became quite overwhelming for me especially as I couldn’t visit mum because of Covid .The ladies who unfortunately I can’t name are a credit to their profession and the Medway Hospital. So thank you both .
"Safe discharge home"
