"Follow up to Oesophagus cancer"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

Attended day surgery at Wishaw with Mr Kasem and his team. Previous diagnosis of oesophagus cancer last August, chemo radiotherapy and subsequent operation in January all went to plan. An excellent team of surgeons, doctors and nurses have given me a new lease of life. Today’s visit went well with a dilation procedure under sedation.

It’s so reassuring to have confidence in a truly professional and pleasant group of people seeing me through such a major challenge and change in my life. I know I will have to return for more treatment, however cannot thank everyone of them enough.

Dear Harpo

Firstly, I am sorry to hear you have had such a difficult time with your health. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experiences of being treated by Mr Kasem and the staff in Day Surgery Dept. and University Hospital Wishaw.

I am pleased that your recent procedure went well and I do understand how very important it is for patients to have trust in and be reassured by the doctors, nurses and other staff caring for them. I am glad you found the staff to be pleasant and professional as they work hard each day to provide high standards of care.

I will be delighted to pass on your comments to the staff who will be very pleased to hear your kind comments.

I hope that you are now recovering well at home.

kind regards
