My labour lasted over a few days and from start to finish myself, my partner and my baby were given the best possible care and attention.
When I did finally go into active labour, Abbie and Kizzie respected my birth plan and created a lovely calm atmosphere, they listened to my wishes and gave me confidence through my surges.
When they went off shift, Amy and Lesley took over and helped me to progress. Lesley’s experience, expertise and quick thinking guided us through a tricky part of the birth and Amy’s care and attention was incredible.
The whole team were amazing, friendly, caring and professional and the after care at ward 16 was perfect.
It wasn’t the easiest of births but the care from all the staff members involved left myself and my partner with a warm and fuzzy feeling because they are all so brilliant. A lot of them came to see how we were getting on afterward as well, which was lovely. We can’t thank them enough.
