About: Pinderfields General Hospital

(as a service user),

The food was bad, I got a choice but the choice was basically the same a chicken pasta, a chicken casserole or a crust of a pie with a minute bit of filling, , On Friday I got a rubbery fish, with chips, The menu was the same week after week, , with the chicken being a grey colour, The only good part was the deserts, something needs doing about it, when I was ill, looking at something so bad was sickening, . The people who make the menu should be made to eat them for four or five weeks, they are the only bad part or my stay in Pinderfields.

I am disappointed to read that you felt the food on the ward was poor. As a healthcare provider, the Trust aims to continually support the nutritional needs of our patients, staff and visitors and I am sorry that you have had such a poor experience.

The Trust has an improvement plan in place to address the nutritional care of its patients and I will share your feedback with the relevant team so that they can incorporate your comments into the plan.
