"Amazing Treatment in A&E"

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave feedback on the Care Opinion platform. I was sorry to learn that you needed to use our services at University Hospital Monklands when you were suffering from your severe asthma attack and equally sorry to learn that you needed admission to our HDU. This must have been absolutely terrifying for you, on top of worrying about contracting COVID-19. I can understand your anxieties and appreciate why you maybe waited a bit longer that normal to seek help.

I was delighted to read your view of our fantastic team in the Emergency Department and how they made you feel safe during your time within the department. As we have been firmly in the pandemic for well over a year now, the team in the Emergency Department are well versed in the use of PPE, ensuring the maintenance of staff and patient safety, upholding the highest levels of continuous cleanliness and they completely understand the anxieties that patients present with in relation to the pandemic. It was really warming to read that they were so kind and patient as I know that the team strive to deliver excellent patient centred care, tailored specifically to each and every individual patient whilst aiming to deliver exceptional quality care.

I very much hope that you are well on your way to better health and thank you once again for such kind words. I will share this with the team in ED and I am certain that this will act as the morale boost that the team need during this continued difficult time for us all.
