"Volunteering at the vaccine centre"

Having signed up for some volunteering shifts at Bocking Street Vaccination Centre, I was offered the vaccine and I jumped at the chance. The staff and volunteers at the centre are fantastic - very friendly and they put everyone at ease. I was so happy to receive the jab as I see it as a first step towards regaining freedom and emerging from the nightmare of the pandemic. I would urge everyone who is eligible to have the vaccine to get it - it is a remarkable scientific achievement and the rollout has been superb. Credit to the medics, volunteers and everyone else who has been involved in it at all levels. I didn't feel a thing when the needle went in. I actually feel very emotional having just been vaccinated because it's such a wonderful thing - it provides me with hope after a difficult year
