"Experience of cataract surgery could not have been better"

In mid-February 2021 I had a cataract operation. Having not had this done before I was naturally apprehensive, however my apprehension soon decreased on meeting each of the staff. From the time I checked in and until I left, I was treated with courtesy and friendliness by everyone.

Dr Ramanathan explained everything clearly to me prior to my operation and along with the lady consultant (can’t recall her name but who was also present during the operation) I was made to feel comfortable and relaxed.

No hospital visit or medical procedure is particularly enjoyable, but I felt that the time I spent in the East Surrey Eye Department could not have been any better. I almost look forward to having my other eye done!
