"Lack of diagnosis of groin pain"

About: Plymouth Teaching PCT / Emergency GP out of hours service

(as the patient),

Hi, I am 19 and have been suffering with pain in my groin for about 5 months now. I have been to my GP countless amount of times and I have also checked in to the emergency doctors due to being in severe pain. The first 4 appointments I had at my GP they all felt for a hernia (as the doctors were different due to having emergency appointments) and yet on all appointments no further action was taken.

I have a Auntie who is a nurse and she gave me some tablets that treat IBS which have helped although as soon as I stopped taking them I am in agony. When I next went to the GP they told me to just keeping taking them if it helps (NO DIAGNOSIS).

Ive had no scans and no blood tests done. Nor have I been treated like I have a real problem which makes me feel as though I may be making it up.

I have just started a new job and unfortunately I have already taken so much time off to try and get to the bottom of it all.

I'm fed up of paying ridiculous prices for pills that don't work due to wrong diagnosis.

Need some help, fast! Just want it to stop.
