"My Covid-19 Experience at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / General Internal Medicine

(as the patient),

I was taken by Coastguard Helicopter to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, from The Balfour in Orkney. It was a decision made by health professionals, solely in my best interest.

From the minute I arrived in Ward 110, I was expertly taken care of.  An army of NHS staff ran this Covid ward to provide individual service to each one of us, 24 hours a day.  Often young, always enthusiastic, bright, very professional, caring and supportive at all times.

Dear Room 5,

Sounds like you had quite a journey to get to ward 110.

The staff in the ward aim to please and were delighted to hear their efforts to provide individual care and support were noticed and appreciated! They were touched you had taken time to write (it really does mean a lot to them) and hope you are back home and recovering well.

Take care,

Lisa
