"Ambulatory care unit and cardiology ward derby royal hospital"

About: Royal Derby Hospital / Cardiology

(as a service user),

Referred by GP with palpitations due to atrial fibrillation. I spent 11 hours here before being admitted to a ward. Packed waiting room no windows for air circulation no social distancing no cleaning all 11 hours no hand sanitizer apart from small bottle on reception desk. Did not feel at all covid safe. Admitted to ward 11. 30pm various procedures during early part of night. No sleep. Then moved to another ward at 4am. 4 bed bay nurse doing admission procedure talked very loudly felt sorry for the other 3 patients trying to sleep. 7am change of shift nurses chatting and laughing loudly and all lights turned on.. No thought or respect for tired sick patients who might need peace and quiet. I was appalled by the treatment but felt so ill couldn't complain.
