Although I had had a hysteroscopy before (under general anaesthetic at another hospital....very successfully) I was very anxious about having it done at Whipps, having read the patients' comments on this page.
However, I need not have worried - the Specialist Nurse who conducted the the procedure was faultless. She explained my options (which I already knew) but gave me plenty of time to think it over and ask questions. I had already had some Ibuprofen...as per instructions...and opted for a local anaesthetic, deciding I wanted to get the thing over with!
Everyone was very kind and would have stopped at any point had I asked them to. I have no complaints at all. I was treated with courtesy and care and in a most humane fashion. Excellent!
