My daughter had a severe reaction from her booster. I spoke to my own GP who prescribed me an antibiotic to treat it... from the minute I got it the injection sight kept flaring up. : I spoke to NHS 24 who were really helpful and then my own GP again... I felt there was no interest there on my concerns all based on covid and not wanting seeing patients ... I was advised to go to hospital... I went to Wishaw general where I was triaged straight away with my daughter and then waited in the a& e area to be seen by a doctor... time passed and it thought wise to send me to ward 19 to be seen by a doctor... I was seen by a 5th year medical student, Then a doctor and then a consaultant before we were relised to go home... everyone who treated us from the nurses to the doctors were amazing! I felt like I was listened to and not made to feel stupid for having a worries during this pandemic. I completely appreciate we are in hard times but I wouldn’t have visited the hospital unless I needed to.. thank you so much to the staff who treated my daughter. She felt so comfortable and I was given solid advice. You are all doing an amazing job x
