I was transferred from Stonebridge to NeSS and had a scheduled review today. I have had something similar in the past and understand the necessity for the lack of F2F. The appointment today, however, was truly noteworthy. Mr Singh was absolutely exceptional! He was professional and thorough but also compassionate. He was holistic (an approach I very much appreciate) but also specific. As the 'exam' progressed, I felt able to be more personal than I normally would (especially on a phone call). Far, far more than what I would expect from a 'routine' prescription check, by the end the call was personal, encouraging, and positive, if not inspiring.
It took me 3 decades to learn that I need help managing mental health issues. Since then I have been extremely appreciative of MH professionals: I want and am trying to 'get better' and I really want to thank everyone who helps with that. Even just after today's phone call, I feel that talking with Mr. Singh has already helped considerably.
I can honestly say the discussion we had today was a very positive human interaction -- which are rare for me in these days.
