"Stroke victim"

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary

(as a relative),

Admitted to Bradford Royal Infirmary ward 6 after having a stroke.

Appreciate things difficult due to covid and nobody is allowed to visit  so worrying times for families as we can only go by what we are being told.

Please do not take what they tell you for granted ask questions and keep asking.

We have receive that many conflicting tales from doctors, nurses, therapist and SS I sometimes wonder if thay are talking about the same person.
At this present time we have been told she will be coming home on Friday the ward no nothing about it, therapist were suppose to be introducing new foods over a week ago looks like that's not happened,
and the list goes on

At this moment in time we dont know who to believe its appalling firstly for the patients ,seems there just getting basic care and not the care they are entitled to and for the families who have to go through all the upset

I'm a relative not the patient, as it says in the heading.

Thanks for your reply - I'm so sorry we missed that detail - we do appreciate you highlighting our mistake.

Just to make you aware that our Stroke Helpline and other services are here to support relatives as well as stroke survivors. We hope that your relative is making good progress, though I appreciate that it sounds like you've had conflicting information about this from the hospital at times.
