"Deep Vein Thrombosis"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General surgery (Wards 9a, 9b, 9c & 9d)

(as the patient),

I was sent straight to hospital after my family doctors appointment as she suspected I had a dangerous hernia in my groin. I was sent straight to immediate surgery who awaited my arrival... I was nervous arriving at the Queen Elizabeth hospital in glasgow due to Covid 19, but every safety practise was adhered to. From nurses to porter to domestics, every member of staff I came across were a joy to helping my relax.. After a ct scan and an ultra sound it was actually a blood clot in my upper leg causing my pain.. I had an overnight stay and covid tested. I will never worry myself again. Our NHS are remarkable during these crazy times.

Dear Kazza1971

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback in regards to the time you spent in the General Surgery Department of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

It was lovely to read of your pleasant experience and how the staff were able to put your mind at ease from the minute you walked through the doors of the hospital.

We have been working behind the scenes to make every patients stay a pleasant one so to hear your feedback was some positive it means we are on the right track.

I will be sure to pass on your comments to all the staff involved and I hope you are recovering well from your surgery.

Please take care and stay safe

Kind regards

Kevin
