"NHS Lothian - Craigroyston, Very Poor Mental Health Support"

Trying to navigate these services for too long and feel like sending patients pamphlets of things they could look up in more detail on Google is a cop out for the care that they should be receiving. Discharged from service without any proper care, and a referral for a trauma counselling line which is for under 16 year olds (I’m over 18). No proper alternative given other than being passed around like a parcel from service to service - too unwell for some but not unwell enough for others. I don’t think it’s right to insinuate somebody with long-lasting trauma needs a period of stability before gaining treatment to EMDR, there is no such thing as stability when you’re trying to get over being raped and battered for years. Getting referred here has only made my mental health worse.
