"Brilliant"

About: Ninewells Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

Im 52 years old I was a shocked and surprised to find out that they were going to amputate my leg in 3 days and because of this covid I was not allowed my family around me, but on ward 12 there is a nurse Lesley who works nightshift who couldn't have been better to settle me down and explained a lot to me.  Dont get me wrong, all the nurses and students are great but Lesley in particular was very knowledgeable, such a lovely woman  but I know I get my op tomorrow so hopefully she knows how important she is in ward 12. brillant.

Dear Maggieflood, I am sure this has been such a frightening and difficult time for you and I am so glad to hear Lesley helped you so much. I have shared your feedback with the Lead nurse in the area in order that Lesley and the team hear how her approach to providing you with support has helped you. I hope your operarion goes well and you have a speedy and successful period of rehabilitation and recovery.

Kind regards

Debbie Baldie
