About: Inclusion Thurrock (Talking Therapies)

(as the patient),

Definitely the right choice for me! And was definitely worth waiting for! I enjoyed the couple of months with my therapist, it really helped me and I have noticed a big difference! I was sad when coming to the end but I would definitely do it again if I ever needed to! My therapist was so lovely and relatable! She understood everything I spoke about and went through every single thing with me! Obviously this isnt a miracle cure but it was great to have someone to talk too and someone who listened and knew what u was talking about, it seemed like she really cared about what I was saying and im super grateful for that as that is important in therapy!

Dear GreenHay,

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us! I am so very pleased to hear that you found therapy with us a helpful and enjoyable experience.

I would like to firstly acknowledge your comment "it was definitely worth waiting for" as this is music to our ears! We are aware that sometimes waiting for therapy sessions isn't ideal so, thank you for sharing that the wait was worth it.

It is so important for clients to be heard in their therapy sessions and it certainly sounds as though you felt heard by your therapist. Simply having someone to talk to each week who listens and understands what you are going through can be such a weight off of your shoulders. Many clients attend therapy having never spoken to anyone before about how they are feeling so having that care and attention is something that we consider to be very important.

It is so common to experience sadness when our therapy sessions finish but this really is the beginning of your journey, rather than it being any sort of ending. As you rightly said, therapy isn't a miracle cure, but it can be a source of support when we need it the most. The most important thing to do now is to take on board everything that you discussed during your sessions, in order for you to continue your progress independently.

I am also very pleased to read that you would return again for future support if needed.

Thank you once again for sharing how you found our service. We wish you the very best of luck in the future.

Take care,

Jade
