"X-ray during lockdown"

About: Inverclyde Royal Hospital / Xrays and Scans

(as a service user),

Attended IRH for planned out patient x-ray appointment, even as a nurse I was apprehensive about coming into a hospital during Covid and lockdown.

I was in the building and had my x-ray and back out within 5 minutes and was delighted with that.

Staff are door ensuring hand hygiene and social distancing, staff ushering and directing to appropriate place. X-ray staff polite and professional and a clear one way system. Often we here negatives even though there are a lot of unadvertised positives withing the NHS.

Even though this was a minor event I felt I should highlight the positive and well organised way it was handled. Many Thanks

Dear Rose100

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback in regards to your experience of using the X-Ray Department at Inverclyde Royal Hospital.

I was delighted to read how your initial concerns of going to hospital due to COVID and lockdown soon vanished when there. It was nice to hear how the staff put you mind at ease and followed strict COVID protocols to ensure your experience was positive and made you feel safe.

I will be sure to pass on your comments to all the staff involved who I'm sure will be happy to hear you had such a pleasant experience.

Kind regards

Kevin
