About: Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service

(as a service user),

I attended the NIBTS blood donation drive in Lisburn.

From arrival I noted well organised C19 guidance in place.

The new booking system for donating blood was wonderful as I was efficiently seen by the admin, nursing assistants and nurse present.

The whole process from arrival , donation of blood and leaving was under one hour. The gentleman supervising me was friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

I wish to thank the NIBTS team for making me feel safe and supported for donating blood during the pandemic

Thank you for sharing your experience of Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion. I have shared it with key people within the organisation as it is encouraging to hear of the positive message you have shared, particularly in relation to adherence to Covid 19 regulations at the time. In these difficult times staff are always encouraged to hear and learn from service users about the service they provide.
