"Stay in rehab unit"

About: Whiteabbey Hospital / Nightingale Wards

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Have been in 3 different hospitals in the last few months, keen to get home.

The staff have been kind with good attitudes, and I have felt listened to. Cleanliness is good, and so is food.

It is difficult to hear staff with PPE on, and I'd like to be more involved in making decisions. It can be too warm and noisy sometimes and I've missed my family.

Hello, my name is Lauren Henry. I am Assistant Clinical Services Manager for Nightingale Whiteabbey Hospital.

Thank you for taking the time to tell me about your experience in the Nightingale. This means so much to staff and so uplifting after the last few months of the pandemic. I also hear you would like to have been more involved in decision making about your care. I will share this story with the team and we will reflect how we can improve on this.

I hope you are recovering well and get home soon.

Kind Regards

Lauren Henry
